So it really is rather like an expansion. I’m fine with this
On the bright side, if you wear a NGS outfit and deliver it into PSO2 base match, your palms will move in PSO2 base match too. Considering this, I believe they are now only doing a copy and paste of style compatibility right now, like how you watch Ash in NGS looks like, as a stop gap, meanwhile following NGS is released for a little while, they may individually fix or update certain Fashion items that might appear dated or look weird which has been PSO2 Meseta carried over from PSO2. Let’s just hope its this. On the other hand, if you wear a NGS outfit and bring it into PSO2 base match, your palms will move in PSO2 base game too. In my head it is sounding like PSO2 is”1-95″ and NGS is”96-whatever”, however, the levels”past” 95 will not work in OG PSO2. Or like if FFXIV Shadowbringers’ 71-80 new skills did not function in articles from previous expansions (which is how it works now in instances unless you unsync). Although NGS appears to be including a side of”What if ShB needed a lot of new skills that replaced your 1-70 abilities that just worked in ShB content”.
I am glad they put this information dump out. Now if we just get a real ranged/tech hybrid… They already mentioned on the 2nd trailer that levels and things will likely be different. You are going to be back in Lv1 at NG, and not all courses will probably be there at start. I meant it in a”we will not have access to our old skills until we go back to the OG PSO2 ships” sorta way. But my explanation was bad (and I am not sure whether my new one below’s any greater ).
It sounds like rather the midpoint between”hard reset with decorative transfer” (like going from Secret World to SWL, which was a dumpster fire of a procedure ) and”routine expansion” (like BfA into Shadowlands, TBC into WotLK, Stormblood to Shadowbringers, etc). Because the”old” places are still a part of mostly the exact same game, and you can go back and play with cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta them with the preexisting abilities/classes/etc. I’m assuming people who desire OG PSO2 makeup would still should earn/buy them in OG PSO2. If that’s the case, we wind up at something like current WoW (if you squint a little ).
