Common Problems of Dustbin Mould
There are some common problems in the mould test of Dustbin Mould(FURNITUREMOULD), which are summarized as the following problems.
1. Uneven color or discoloration: due to poor distribution of pigment or filler, the color of plastic or pigment discoloration on the surface of plastic parts is uneven, and the reasons for uneven color vary with different phenomena. Pigment distribution is mainly uneven near the feed inlet. If the color of the whole part is uneven, it is caused by the poor thermal stability of plastic, and if the color of welded parts is uneven, it is related to pigment properties.
2. Dimensionality: The dimensional change of plastic parts is unstable mainly due to poor strength and precision of the dustbin mould, unstable operation of the injection machine and unstable forming conditions.
3. Bubble: residual gas in plastic parts due to excessive inflation or poor exhaust in the melt, and small volume or series of holes (note that it should be distinguished from vacuum bubble).
4. Collapse pit (dent) or vacuum bubble: due to poor packing and filling, uneven cooling, uneven wall thickness and large shrinkage of plastic parts.
5. Excessive flash: due to poor clamping, too large gap, too good fluidity of plastic and too much feeding, the plastic parts will extrude excess injection-molded sheets along the edges.
6. Poor welding: due to the low temperature of the melted materials when they are split and merged, the resin and the attached materials are not dissolved, etc., the melted materials are not welded well when they are merged, resulting in obvious fine seam lines along the surface or inside of the plastic parts.
7. The surface corrugation of plastic parts: because melt does not flow neatly along the surface of the dustbin mould to fill the cavity but flows in semi-solidified wave shape on the surface of the cavity or the melt has stagnation phenomenon.
8. Unfavorable demolding: Due to too strong filling effect and poor demolding performance of the dustbin mould, it is difficult to demold the plastic parts or the plastic parts after demolding is deformed, cracked, or the residual direction of the plastic parts does not meet the design requirements.
9. Mica flake delamination and peeling: due to mixing of different materials or low mould temperature, the shearing action of molten materials when flowing along the surface of the dustbin mould is too large, causing the materials to flake into thin layers and the physical properties to decline.
10. Gate sticking: due to mechanical resistance in the gate sleeve, insufficient cooling or failure of the pulling rod, the gate is stuck in the gate sleeve.
11. Poor transparency: Due to poor contact between the melt and the surface of the dustbin mould, small cavities on the plastic part surface cause random radiation of light or decomposition of plastic, foreign matters, and impurities, or the surface of the dustbin mould is not bright, resulting in poor or uneven transparency of transparent plastic.
