Beyond that, my biggest gripe with stand your ground law is the caveat that you can shoot to *** without first trying to leave the situation. I understand that nobody wants to leave after someone wrongs them, but that doesn’t mean we should make killing without trying to de escalate the situation okay.
Nowhere in any argument with you have I said anything remotely along the lines of “Markeis didn’t break the law” or that what he did was okay, not violent, or that the law shouldn’t apply to him.
