I believe that the foundation of Madden is basically broken. They have had to begin from scratch the last 2 console generation lumps (PS2/XB->PS3/360->PS4/X1) since the hardware structure changed dramatically each time and they just have not been able to catch up since Mut 21 coins the annual release cycle means they clearly don’t have enough time to work out the inherent issues. Also I am not holding out any hope for another gen. PS5/Series X are literally just more powerful versions of the PS4 Guru and 1X, they have got the exact same CPU architecture so it’ll be the same broken game but with perhaps some better visuals. I seem to remember reading an guide or two on how the Frostbite engine has generated some massive problems for both FIFA and Madden (I think FIFA is using it too?) , particularly when it comes to physics. Long story short, my understanding is Frostbite is great for FPS (which is what it was designed for) but has been just terrible for athletics or anything besides FPS.

However, EA, in their infinite wisdom, wanted all their studios using the same engine. On the 1 hand, I get it, it will help streamline development and will save costs in the long run. However, it seems that the higher-ups (shocker) centered on the”cost saving” part of it without really knowing or caring about the development aspect. I wonder whether the issue is truly the engine, or the legacy code that has been ported across multiple motors. A sports game built on Frostbite from the start would have to be better. Here’s an article that talks about general issues with Frostbite from assorted EA studios that are not doing FPS, seems like a lot (of course ) got lost in translation from Ignite engine to Frostbite for the sport matches utilizing itand while visuals improved, physics got considerably worse.

Players: what about a creation suite for expansion teams or just like a news round up as you see in NCAA dynasty? Truly and completely pathetic. Months and months to get something set in and we get 3 measly small things that should’ve been in the game. All these motherfuckers need to lose the exclusivity license and there needs to be competition. I wouldn’t take the whole capability to make NFL games off as that would create another monopoly for 2K. They need to fight to create good *** games. Madden 21 is beyond saving. Theres no way that they could salvage this match as any essential franchise overhauls are not going to be addable at the middle of the cycle.

Adding little bite-size updates 2 months from today does not excuse the fact that franchise got absolutely nothing at launching. So anybody saying”youll never be fulfilled!” Is being dishonest. This game honestly has to be torn apart and completely rebuilt from the ground up but that might mean EA would actually need to take time off from their yearly releases and buy Madden 21 coins actually put some serious effort into making the game.
