Effect of Temperature on Performance of Ro Spare Parts
The standard temperature of Ro Spare Parts(KOKOELECTRIC) is the temperature used by reverse osmosis spare parts manufacturers under standard test conditions.
The actual service temperature of ro spare parts is the temperature at which ro spare parts work. Taking CPA series products as an example, the actual operating temperature is 0 ~ 45℃, and designers or operators can make reverse osmosis devices operate at specific temperatures according to the actual conditions of different systems. For example, some systems are designed with inlet water heating devices to ensure the systems operate at a constant temperature all year round, and some systems are not designed with inlet water heating devices, so the inlet water temperature of the systems is different all year round, especially when surface water is used as the inlet water source.
Reverse osmosis unit allows the system to operate at different temperatures, but the designer must consider the influence of different temperatures on the reverse osmosis unit. Generally speaking, under the condition of the same other design parameters, the temperature decreases, the desalting rate of the system increases, and the quality of the effluent water become better, but the water yield of the system decreases. In this case, if the system is to reach the designed water yield, it must operate at a higher pressure. On the contrary, when the temperature rises, the desalting rate of the system decreases and the quality of the effluent water becomes worse. If the system is to maintain the designed water yield at this time, it must be operated at a lower pressure. Generally speaking, the water yield decreases by 2% ~ 3% for every 1℃ drop in temperature.
Sometimes, due to the negligence of the designer or the designer’s insufficient understanding of the membrane performance and failure to consider the influence of temperature on the system performance, it may happen that the quality of water produced in winter is very good, the quality of water produced in summer is not up to the user’s requirements, or the water produced in winter is insufficient due to the insufficient lift of the pump.
